option for clients undergoing certain chemotherapy 
treatments who want to reduce chemotherapy-related hair 
loss. Scalp cooling works by lowering the temperature of 
the scalp before, during, and after chemotherapy, which 
may reduce blood flow to the hair follicles and limit their 
exposure to chemotherapy medication. Results vary, and 
scalp cooling cannot guarantee hair retention. Clients 
should discuss scalp cooling with their oncology team
